THE DISTANCE FROM BOONTON TO WHIPPANY, New Jersey is only about six miles. In fact, the drive takes ten minutes at most. But its significance was big for century-old Drew Marine last September when it celebrated its first year under J.F. Lehman’s private equity ownership by christening its new Whippany headquarters. The new facilities, complete with offices and laboratories, were a shining symbol of the company’s new standalone status.

portrait DREW MARINE APPOINTS NEW GLOBAL DIRECTOR OF MARKETING
Whippany, NJ – Drew Marine has appointed Chris Hill as the Director of Global Marketing. Chris joins Drew Marine with over twenty-five years of water treatment, filtration, and industrial marketing experience. He will lead marketing initiatives across the business units at Drew Marine and will be directly responsible for the Water Treatment Products and the Technology Group.

Prior to Drew Marine, Chris led new business initiatives at Pall Life Sciences, a two billion dollar filtration company and Lonza, a three billion dollar specialty chemical company. His career includes various roles in Sales, Marketing, and Technology.

Mr. Hill holds a B.S. in Chemistry and a MBA from the University of Delaware.

AMERARC™ WELDZALL SYSTEM

amerarc-weldzallThe AMERARC™ WELDZALL SYSTEM, a self-contained GMAW (MIG) welding torch and wire feeder, and a 24 volt power converter, was recently added to the Drew Marine welding products line. The torch and feeder, more commonly known as a spool gun, allows Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) of a number of metals that are considered hard to weld using more traditional means like “stick” or Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW).
